Our Lab

Our lab is the ideal working environment for young researchers, who want to work on cutting-edge technologies and develop novel and out-of-the-box solutions that will be published on international top-tier scientific conferences and journals. Through EU-funded projects, we are collaborating with prestigious European research centers and companies, to develop and deliver state-of-the-art software applications for the European market and industry.

Since its formation, the lab presents a trend to expand in new fields, to attract increasing funding, thus increasing its man-force. While growing, we constantly want to improve and explore new fields and opportunities. We offer highly competitive pay and constant motivation to keep improving and be rewarded.

We collaborate with Greek and European Universities, enabling our highly-skilled team members to become PhD candidates.

The team consists of motivated and creative researchers, who are interested in pushing the limits of technology further. Being involved in one of our projects means spending 3-4 exciting, challenging and career advancing years in a highly inspiring and friendly environment with some experienced researchers in computer science and within the context of leading and state-of-the-art research. Our team member have most of the following qualifications:

  • BSc, MSc or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent).
  • Good programming skills in C++, C#, Python, CUDA.
  • Code versioning.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a “can do” approach and solid problem-solving skills.
  • Self motivation
  • Able to resolve everyday technical problems, and scientific ones
  • The ability to thrive in a demanding environment while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Fluent speaking/writing in English.

3D Computer Vision / Graphics Researcher

Topics: Tele-immersion, 3D reconstruction, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, Motion Capture

-Assistant researcher (entry level)

Responsibilities:

  • Programming/Development of 3D Computer Vision and/or Graphics Algorithms in C++ and C#.

Top skills:

  • Scene / Geometry Understanding.
  • Image/video processing.
  • Motion Capture.

-Assistant researcher (experienced)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver novel solutions to computer vision-based problems.
  • Research and Development of 3D Computer Vision and/or Graphics Algorithms in C# and C++.
  • Leading and successfully completing project related activities (tasks, projects, deliverables):
    • Reporting
    • Team management
    • Task prioritisation

Top skills:

  • Camera/sensor calibration, registration and synchronisation.
  • 3D reconstruction and/or photogrammetry.
  • Rendering / Display techniques.
  • Unity 3D / Unreal Engine usage.
  • VR / AR development.
  • Parallel programming.
  • Experience in optimization techniques.

 

Machine Learning Researcher

Topics: Object detection and tracking, Action recognition, Human-object interaction, Gesture recognition, in both 2D and 3D content

-Assistant researcher (entry level)

Responsibilities:

  • Development of Machine (Deep) Learning Algorithms.

Top skills:

  • Good programming skills in C++, Python, Matlab, Lua, CUDA
  • Deep learning frameworks (e.g. Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe)
  • Good understanding of convolutional and/or recurrent neural network architectures.

-Assistant researcher (experienced)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver novel machine learning algorithms for computer vision applications.
  • Make research-level breakthroughs in machine learning for visual computing applications.
  • Project task leading and completion.

Top skills:

  • Experience in Deep Learning frameworks (e.g. Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe)
  • Good understanding of advanced topics in Deep Learning (e.g. Adversarial networks, Multimodal fusion, Network optimization, Javascript Deep Learning)
