Athanasios Psaltis received his Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of University of West Attica (2024), his Master’s degree from the Department of Information and Computing Sciences of Utrecht University (2013), and his Diploma degree from the Department of Computer Engineering & Telecommunication Networks at the University of Thessaly (2011). 

His Ph.D. research focuses on developing algorithms for privacy-preserving AI at the intersection of computer vision and federated learning. His primary research interests encompass computer graphics, representation learning, human-computer interaction, cognitive systems, and advancing methodologies in both computer vision and federated learning.

As of January 2015, he works as a research assistant in the Informatics and Telematics Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology – Hellas.
