Athanasios Psaltis received his Master's degree from the Department of Information and Computing Sciences of Utrecht University (2013), and his Diploma degree from the Department of Computer Engineering & Telecommunication Networks at the University of Thessaly (2011). His master's thesis focuses on developing algorithms for sensing emotion in video. Since January of 2021, he is a PhD candidate researching the field entitled "Federated, Multi-agent, deep reinforcement learning". His main research interests include computer graphics, computer vision, deep learning, federated learning, human-computer interaction and cognitive systems. As of January 2015, he works as a research assistant in the Informatics and Telematics Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology - Hellas.
