Gkarmpounis George received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th) in November 2009. Since March 2023, he has been working as a research assistant in the Information Technologies Institute (I.T.I) of the Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CE.R.T.H.).

His research interests include machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision.
