Dr. Kosmas Dimitropoulos is a Principal Researcher (Grade B’) at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) and a member of the Visual Computing Lab (VCL). From 2007 to the present, he has taught numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses at universities in Greece and abroad, such as at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), the University of Macedonia (Greece), MINES ParisTech/PSL University (France), and the Karolinska Institute (Sweden). He has also served for more than five years as the academic director of the AIMOVE Post-Master Programme for CERTH (AIMOVE – “Artificial Intelligence and Movement for Robotics and Interactive Systems”) at MINES ParisTech/PSL University.
He holds a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Applied Informatics. His main research interests lie in the areas of multi-dimensional data modelling and analysis, artificial intelligence, human computer interaction and virtual reality. Dr. Dimitropoulos has co-authored a large number of articles in scientific journals and conferences, and has been involved in several European and national research projects. He has served as a regular reviewer for many international journals and conferences.
