Georgios Petmezas received his Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2018. He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Informatics from the School of Medicine of AUTH (2020). Since 2021, he is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Medicine of AUTH focusing on predictive modelling in cardiology using deep learning techniques. Prior to joining the Visual Computing Lab (VCL) of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) in August 2023 he had a proven R&D experience having worked as a Research & Software Engineer at a variety of research laboratories. His main research interests include signal, image and video processing, data analysis, predictive modelling, biomedical engineering, visual computing, and artificial intelligence.
