Virtual and augmented reality has the potential to improve collaboration between professionals and customers in indoor planning tasks like interior design or refurnishing. Our work addresses two major issues of current AR planning apps: the required techincal skills to create or import room plans, and the overlap between existing and overlaid items. We propose automation of the scene creation from a single panorama using AI-based services and the use of diminished reality (DR) to conceal objects before overlaying new ones.
